His firm, Urgo & Associates, provides consulting services on the development and management of policies and procedures systems and information in organizations, and it publishes the award-winning e-newsletter The Policies & Procedures Authority.

In 2006, Raymond was named to the honorary rank of Fellow by the Society for Technical Communication.
